In addition to being an affiliate partner of Codex Advisors, Norman is CEO of Hall International Partner's headquartered in Martha's Vineyard. Norman brings extensive experience in operational, financial and organizational management, having successfully launched and operated three international financial services companies as their CEO and President.. In addition to an impresssive career launching his own enterprises, Norman served in investment banking roles with Drexel Burnham Lambert (Netherlands), Legg Mason Wood Walker and Kidder Peabody (USA).
In 1990, he established Hall International Partners BV in The Netherlands, founding the first low cost peer-to-peer platform to execute securities trades globally. In 1995, Norman set up Hall International Advisors Far East in Hong Kong, an SFC registered investment advisory firm. Hall led delegations of pension fund trustees, state treasurers, consultants and fund management firms to Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore and other Far East destinations.
Hall has previously served as strategic consultant to State Street Global Advisors, one of the world’s largest fund management organizations, leading their foray into Asian markets by providing market, industry and political intelligence worldwide. He also piloted a successful start-up company, the Dutch pension-consulting group Hall/CEM, with Canadian pension fund consultant Keith Ambachtsheer of Cost Effective Measurement / KPA. Within a year, Hall/ CEM contributed to the doubling of CEM/KPA’s assets under advisory from $1 trillion to $2 trillion subsequent to establishing Stichting Pensioenfunds ABP and numerous other Dutch pension funds as clients.
in 2005 Norman co-founded AlderTree Capital Partners, a quantitative hedge fund using credit default swaps to short the mortgage backed securities asset class. Anticipating the impending shake up of the asset- backed credit and structured finance markets, he sold his interest and the intellectual property to Blue Mountain Capital Management in May 2007.
Norman has proven ability in managing the corporate development process and growth cycles with a corcompetence in identifying and cultivating strategic relationships that enhance profitability. Norman holds a BS in Financial Management and Quantitative Analysis from The Catholic University of America.
